This artist’s book is based off a poem on love and longing. I wanted the physical construction of the book to feel as intimate and deliberate as the words themselves.
The blackletter typography was composed in InDesign, then carefully traced onto vellum by hand using a quill pen. The pages were handwoven and assembled using needle and thread.
Materials include hemp, India ink, cadmium red, pressed handmade paper, and 150lb text weight paper aged with my morning coffee.
