Virnig Gives Back is an initiative I’ve been fortunate to be a part of since its inception in 2023. The program was created to support communities surrounding Virnig’s facilities through volunteering, donations, and providing resources to organizations that make a meaningful local impact.
Our first year was ambitious, supporting 24 organizations in 12 months! Although impactful and incredibly positive, this pace was not sustainable. We evolved the program into a quarterly model in which employees vote to select eight organizations per year, ensuring our support is both focused and meaningful.
Since Virnig Gives Back’s launch, we’ve partnered with food banks, schools, women’s shelters, veterans’ organizations, nursing homes, animal shelters, cancer support groups, blood drives, and more.
What I value most about the program is that it has become more than a series of charitable activities. It has become part of Virnig’s culture and the way we connect the company to the communities where our employees live and work.
