The Process
The early phases were pretty straightforward; investigate the current site, competitors, and a list of provided admired sites.
I was grateful for material provided by the client to inform my content and UX decisions. I was given a binder with 30+ pages of skeleton content, and used that as a rough guide for the site. It’s one of the first websites I created, and I’m happy to see it still in use today!
Since this site was developed with an incredibly user-friendly backend, the final step is to hand over the reins. Business owners typically prefer full control, so they are provided full instruction on updates and new content. They’re no longer dependent on a developer or IT guy to keep their site current.
